The stirring time is different from the time of complete melting of carboxymethyl cellulose, and they are two concepts. Generally speaking, the emotional time is much shorter than the time required for the complete melting of carboxymethyl cellulose, and the time depends on the specific situation.
The basis for determining the stirring time is that stirring can be stopped when the carboxymethyl cellulose is uniformly dispersed in water, and no large clumps are evident. The carboxymethyl cellulose and water can penetrate and fuse under static conditions.
Carboxymethyl cellulose and water are completely bonded, and there is no solid-liquid separation between them. The paste should be in a homogeneous state after stirring and mixing, and the surface should be flat and smooth.
The color of the mixed paste is close to colorless and transparent, and there are no granular objects in the paste. The time required from putting the carboxymethyl cellulose into the mixing tank and mixing it with water to completely dissolving the carboxymethyl cellulose is 10 to 20 hours.
