Properties: Diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid is white
crystal powder dissolved in hot water and aqueous alkali. It is lightly soluble
in cold water, insoluble in organic solvents, for example, alcohol and ether.
Melting point: 230℃
Uses: Diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid is efficient chelating agent. It is
widely applied in acrylic fiber manufacturing as color inhibitor, in paper
making industry, as water softening agent, as textile auxiliary agent, as food
additive, as stabilizing agent of drugs. It is also used in water treatment,
textile, paper making, rubber, photography, petroleum and chemical fields.
